Average wholesale prices for bananas from Latin America and the Caribbean showed mixed movements across European Union markets in weeks 45 and 46 of 2025, according to the latest available wholesale data. Prices are reported per 100 kg.
In week 45 (ending 09-11-25), prices ranged from €85 per 100 kg in Latvia to €148 per 100 kg in Romania, with Slovakia at €146 per 100 kg. Other reported levels included €145 per 100 kg in Denmark, €127 per 100 kg in Germany, €110 per 100 kg in both Greece and Estonia, €112 per 100 kg in France, €106 per 100 kg in Ireland, and €109 per 100 kg in the Netherlands. Portugal was at €98 per 100 kg, while Finland reported €119 per 100 kg.
In week 46 (ending 16-11-25), several markets recorded adjustments. Latvia declined to €76 per 100 kg, while Romania increased to €150 per 100 kg. Slovakia moved to €126 per 100 kg, and Finland to €122 per 100 kg. Denmark held at €145 per 100 kg, while Germany edged up to €128 per 100 kg. Greece and Estonia remained at €110 per 100 kg, and France stayed at €112 per 100 kg. Ireland rose to €108 per 100 kg. The Netherlands eased to €108 per 100 kg, and Portugal held at €98 per 100 kg. Poland reported €108 per 100 kg.
Across both weeks, variations reflected typical early-winter market patterns, with northern and eastern EU states posting some of the highest wholesale levels, while several Baltic and southern markets remained slower.
