Sydney Markets announces today the most prestigious awards night for produce, florals and retail, the Fresh Awards, will return this July to recognise the best greengrocers, florists, produce and flower growers, wholesalers, providers, Paddy's Markets traders and fresh content creators from across NSW and ACT.
The Fresh Awards recognise excellence and innovation across the industry by proudly celebrating the businesses and individuals that work tirelessly to support the Markets community.
Last year saw 85 finalists acknowledged for their contribution to the industry across 21 categories, as well as the first winners of the newly created category: The Paddy's People Choice Award, which recognises a Fresh and Retail trader from each location, Flemington and Haymarket. This year's finalists will be announced on May 6th.
Brad Latham, CEO of Sydney Markets, said every year the Fresh Awards presents an opportunity to acknowledge the hard work and achievements within both the industry and the Markets. "The quality of applicants every year is always exceptional as the Fresh Awards continue to grow, with our fantastic community of wholesalers, growers, providers, retailers and more going from strength to strength."
The winners of the 2024 Fresh Awards will be crowned at a gala awards night on Friday 12th July at the International Convention Centre in Sydney. "We look forward to celebrating the achievements of our finalists and winners. Quality, innovation and customer service are at the heart of everything the Markets does, and our community is making it tougher each year to pick a winner. This is a testament to the tireless efforts of the small business owners we have in our industry and the pride they have in the work that they do," said Latham.
