Iran's pistachio exports have witnessed a substantial increase within the first five months of the current Iranian calendar year, commencing March 21, 2024. The Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) disclosed that the nation exported pistachios worth $352 million from March 21 to August 22, 2024. This figure represents a 213% growth in value over the same timeframe the previous year.
In terms of volume, 36,000 tons of fresh pistachios were exported, marking a 122% increase from the prior year's corresponding period. The breakdown of exports includes $245 million in pistachios with fresh or dry shells and $103 million in pistachio kernels. This data underscores a robust performance in Iran's pistachio export sector.
