IMG Citrus, an integrated fresh citrus company, has added a new team member, Bekah McMurrain, as it continues to advance its strategic goals in the Southeast U.S. market.
As IMG Citrus evolves to become a year-round supplier of citrus, its strategy focuses on selecting top citrus for each season, consolidating logistics, and offering solutions for retailers in the Southeast that meet their citrus supply needs.
Central to this strategy is its Sweet Sixty facility, a 185,000-square-foot cold storage and packaging hub, strategically located between I-95 and the Florida Turnpike, just a few hours north of Port Everglades and the Port of Miami. The facility has over 3,000 pallet positions, state-of-the-art refrigeration technology, 20 dock doors, and ample space for future expansion, all of which support IMG Citrus' supply chain integration strategy.
Bekah McMurrain brings almost 10 years of experience in agriculture, including five years in the citrus industry, to IMG Citrus.
As citrus business developer, Bekah McMurrain will support the rapid growth of the company by expanding established programs and developing new initiatives with leading food retailers in the Southeast US. McMurrain brings almost 10 years of experience in agriculture, including five years in the citrus industry, along with a strong background in produce, protein, and dairy. Her expertise and passion for the industry make her an invaluable addition to the team. "I am thrilled to return to the citrus industry and join this incredible team," says McMurrain. "This opportunity to contribute to a field I am passionate about, alongside such a forward-thinking company, is truly exciting. I look forward to what we can achieve together."
