opening planned for the end of May

Rutoma relocates wholesaler to Jabbeke

The Belgian fruit and vegetable wholesaler Rutoma sells its products on the wholesale market in Evergem, close to Gent. They will soon reopen the previous location in Jabbeke. "Everything has been completely renewed and we expect to be able to open officially at the end of May," says Bjorn Franco. "This way we can supply customers on the Belgian coast and around Brugge as well as Gent."

Wholesale
Rutoma was active for years in Jabbeke, but there were no sales taking place there for a while. "Our family business started in Jabbeke in the 70's with the cultivation of vegetables. We had a wholesale there too and there was export taking place from that location. Now we will once again supply market stall holders and shop owners from here. Rutoma will be active at two locations as of the end of May." The warehouse in Jabbeke is almost 2,000 m2 and completely conditioned. Onions are also cut and peeled here.

Rutoma's supply is large. "We have a wide assortment and customers can always come to us. We hope it will be a good summer on the coast. This usually means it's busy and a lot of fruit and vegetables are eaten. Hopefully we will get lots of new customers!" The official date of the opening will be communicated by Rutoma later.
