This season, Cultivar has introduced a new proximity kiwifruit brand: KIWIQUÍ EL DE AQUÍ (KIWIQUÍ. GROWN HERE).
In recent years, Cultivar has worked to find the best kiwifruit producers in Galicia, Asturias and Portugal. Only those who meet the strict quality standards set by Cultivar are allowed to work with the new Kiwiquí brand.
The kiwis accepted are of great quality and are grown in a local environment. This closeness allows the fruit to be harvested with a higher Brix level than that of other European kiwis, reaching retailers just at the right point of ripeness. For this reason, the Kiwiquí brand distributes a product with an excellent flavour and texture.
Proximity makes it possible to market the tastiest and sweetest kiwis, with perfect hardness and very competitive prices, thanks to reduced costs in transport and storage.
The marketing of these fruits, which are produced in nearby areas, also minimises CO2 emissions, something that consumers are becoming increasingly aware of.
Kiwiquí is available from December up to July.
