China: Yuncheng's export volume exceeds10 million tons

In July 2015, in the Yuncheng, apples went through strict quarantine. For the first time apples from China were exported to the United States, it has become an important milestone in the development of China's apple industry.

Up to now, the Yuncheng fruit area and yield ranked first in the country. The city's annual production of concentrated fruit juice reached 350,000 tons. Accounting for 1/3 of the worlds concentrated fruit juice capacity, the city has obtained an international central position.

In the city there are more than 400 modern cold stores. With an overall storage capacity of 90 tons, high quality fruit can be provided to national and international customers all year. Yuncheng fruit industry post-production services involve processing, storage, packaging, transportation and sales.

Located in the city are nine leading fruit juice processing enterprises. The yearly concentrated fruit juice production capacity is 35 million tons; processing more than 200 million tons of fruit and accounting for approximately 35% of the yearly output and export volume of China.

Yuncheng's apples, peaches, pears, cherries and persimmon fruits are already exported to 36 different countries and regions. The export volume exceeded 10 million tons (excluding export).

Yuncheng has a fruit growing area of 218,700 hectares; of which 148,700 hectares are used for growing apples. The annual output is 3.7 million tons.
