EDEKA joins Instagram

Fresh food is not only very tasty; it just looks very good too! Therefore EDEKA invests a lot of love and passion in its new Instagram account. Fruit, vegetables, cheese or excellent recipes are standing in the spotlight. EDEKA started its the official Instagram channel at the start of October. Several times a week EDEKA post images that should inspire the desire for good food. The profile gives extra information about the products, recipe ideas for home cooking, and an extra helping of inspiration, always photographed very tastefully.

The images and the tone reflect EDEKA. The visual approach is based on the same styles used on social media platforms. It focuses on the creative images that tell stories and the sophisticated photography meets the high demands of Instagram.

The new social media profile aims at all those who share EDEKA’s love for food. Instagram is a contemporary image communication channel, which allows communication with target groups that are difficult to reach with other communication channels. “It is a relevant platform for EDEKA. With our presence we create a creative environment for a very active and relatively young community that is constantly growing and therefore will provide future ways to connect with customers. Instagram is the place to watch developments at an early stage and those who are passionate about food and beverages just as EDEKA, should follow us online,” explains Rolf Lange, head of corporate communications of EDEKA.
