Fruit and vegetables main focus

Sous Fresh launches online culinary platform

In recent years a clear trend has appeared in which fruits and vegetables are becoming increasingly important in restaurants. With 80% of the menu items being fruits and vegetables, and 20% meat and fish. This trend, which is no longer a 'trend' but something that is here to stay, is being embraced by top chefs and spreading rapidly. Niven Kunz from the Netherlands and Nilz Henkel from Germany (both Michelin star chefs) are staunch supporters of this 'trend'.

Fancy vegetables is a new movement within the culinary world. New cooking techniques, rediscovered vegetables and most importantly, restaurant patrons who want to see more creativity on their menus. A braised carrot tastes different and has a different structure from a cooked carrot. You can make cauliflower very tasty using different methods and not using the well known sauce that it always comes with.

Sustainability and healthy eating are underlying this movement, along with the need for the culinary world to be more creative with their products. Creativity can make a lot of headway in the fruit and vegetable sector.

Online platform created by and for professional chefs
Market research has shown that professional chefs are looking for inspiration for their fruit and vegetable dishes. Sous Fresh wants to help these professional cooks by providing them with the 'Chefs Inspiration' line of fruit and vegetable products and an online platform.
The 'Chefs Inspiration' line of fruits and vegetables has very specific requirements such as top quality, color, taste and inspiration. The pillars of their brand.

Through the online platform www.chefs-inspiration.com and Facebook and Instagram, Sous Fresh wants to inspire and inform the professional chef. Inspiring the head chef is especially important. They would like the platform to grow into a place where chefs can share their inspiration with fellow chefs; sharing cooking techniques, recipes and experience with fruits and vegetables.
