Branch unveils new lettuce item at Fresh Summit
Branch, the premier grower, packer, shipper of sweet corn in the United States announced today their new Lush Leaf Trio, a new lettuce item they will feature at PMA Fresh Summit on October 24.
In an effort to provide its customers with a greater variety of products, the product development team at Branch has been working over the last several months on their Lush Leaf Trio, a set of three multi-leaf lettuces (a broad leaf, a fine leaf and a red leaf). The small, consistently-sized leaves make the trio perfect lettuce for wraps, sandwiches and ready-in-minutes salads.
The item has various product attributes that are sure to make this item a top seller with consumers and set it apart. These include:Striking color-contrast for beautiful salads
Excellent flavor and tender texture
Convenient/less waste: one whole leaf fits perfectly on items such as burgers
The item will launch at PMA Fresh Summit and be available to order by January 2016. It will be offered in gusseted-pouch bags in vibrant colors sure to stand out on shelf in the produce department.
“We aim to offer innovative items to our customers and feel Lush Leaf Trio will be a real winner,” said Brett Bergmann, president of Branch. “Consumers, whether they are millennials or generation Xers and beyond, are looking for convenience and value for their money and this item will provide both.”
The Branch booth (#1965) will also feature the new corn sustainers which debuted this summer and have helped the company present their products in a better way to customers.
