Idaho Potato Commission mourns passing of Jef Pryor
Jeffrey (Jef) Pryor, Idaho Potato Commission (IPC) Foodservice Regional Director for the Southeastern US, passed away today in Little Rock, Arkansas after a brief illness. Since 2012, Pryor covered a 17-state territory for the IPC calling on foodservice distributors and operators and produce houses. His tenure with the IPC capped a 40-year produce career that started with Dillaha Fruit Company in Little Rock. He moved on to Ben E. Keith, Sysco, and Performance Foods, expanding his network and adding professional responsibilities along the way, before joining the IPC.
The Idaho Potato Commission valued Pryor’s contributions to the foodservice marketing team. Vice President of Foodservice Don Odiorne recalls, “Jef was a great match for the IPC marketing program and mandates. Warm and genuine, he personified southern grace and hospitality, and he knew every key player in his territory. We will miss him, his spirit, and dedication to Idaho® Potatoes.” The IPC is making a donation to Pryor’s favorite charity–a dog rescue organization–in his memory.
