Yanqing, Beijing, China, in July 2015

Registration opens for 9th World Potato Congress

World Potato Congress Inc. General Manager, John Coady, announced today the launching of registration for the Beijing 2015 World Potato Congress.

Planning and preparation have been underway for over a year, said Coady, we are pleased today to initiate registration. The 9th World Potato Congress will be held at Yanqing, Beijing, China, in July 2015.

Over the past 15 months we have worked closely with the hosts of the Beijing Congress to provide delegates a world class networking and learning experience. We are confident delegates will be impressed by the caliber of keynote speakers as well as technical session presenters. Over the coming weeks and months details will be released highlighting issues and profiling speakers and presenters.

The county of Yanqing (70 km northwest of Beijing) is a beautiful region of China with a continental monsoonal climate, a variety of terrains and extensive biodiversity. The Badaling Great Wall is a huge tourism attraction and will be the site of our closing banquet and awards ceremony, said Coady.

The Congress, which takes place at the newly constructed Beijing Badaling International Conference and Exhibition Centre, will be held July 28-30, 2015. It will be held concurrently with the China Potato Expo and the China Potato Congress. These events annually attract 200 international and domestic exhibitors and over 4000 professional visitors.

People considering attending the Congress should visit the 9th World Potato Congress website for information about the event and to register as delegates. Simply click the following url to visit the site(if you have difficulty linking directly please copy and paste the url in your search engine).
