Henskes experimented with lenses, mirrors, wave lengths and phases and tried the self made sources of light on all kinds of things. He noticed that animals were frightened by a certain type of laser. With the laser his fields and meadows were kept clear, not only of birds, but also of deer and rabbits. It is sufficient to use the laser on the birds for 5 minutes in the morning and evening.
A message on his website was sufficient to obtain the first enquiry. The good experiences with a farmer from Friesland, who as the first to try out the Agrilaser, did the rest. Without having spent one cent on marketing the modern scarecrow is already being sold to farmers all over Europe.
In addition new markets have presented themselves. Henskes in the meantime is in contact with Schiphol and already has an arrangement with Total. The oil company is interested in a completely automated variety of his Agrilaser, which he will start testing. In the beginning of next year tests will be started to establish whether this appliance can keep drilling platforms, with heavy helicopter traffic, free of birds.
