Spain: Fruit Attraction, innovations in quality and food safety

Fruit Attraction, the international fair for fresh produce held in Madrid on 24-26 October, will showcase the activities of over 597 companies. High on the agenda is the exploration and further development of innovations in the industry.

One of the presentations is organised by the research centre of Calalunya, IRTA. During several sessions developments in food safety and shelf life will be explored. Analyses will be given to new technology in this field, and the deployment of said technology in the fresh produce community. The main presentation will be held on the 25th of October at 10.30 in the morning.

Another presentation, on the same day and also in the Fruit Forum, shall explore new trends in quality and safety control. The session is prepared by Agrocolor, an Almeria based, certified organisation that researches food quality. At its core are two questions: "Where are we?" and "Where do we want to be?”.

Other presentations are, among others:
- International Symposium of cherries and berries
- Grape Attraction
- Fruit retail
- Apple attraction
- Award ceremony of the Conecta a la Distribución

Fruit Attraction is organised by FEPEX and IFEMA
