Ecuador seeks to sell bananas to Iran

China, with $ 14 billion, is the largest trading partner of Iran, a country that in 2011 imported goods to the value of $1.2 million from Ecuador.

"That's the reality, we want to sell bananas to Iran, a country that is allegedly involved in money laundering, it is said we are supporting Iran's nuclear program, trading uranium. When will this misinformation and neocolonialism stop?" asked president Rafael Correa, in the Enlace Ciudadano 285, broadcast from the city of Loja.

In addition to the Asian giant, there are more countries such as Korea with $6 billion, Germany ($4,300 million), Turkey ($3,590 million), Russia ($3,300 million), Italy ($ 2,589 million), Brazil ($ 2,331 million), France ($ 2,300 million), Japan ($ 1,700 million) and the U.S. ($229 million), which have all become Iranian major trading markets.
