Qatar wants to set up 1,400 agrarian companies

Qatar plans to set up 1,400 cultivation companies. The country want to increase the national food production and to guarantee a constant and reliable supply of food from abroad.
Qatar is about entirely dependent on the import of food and want a certain measure of self sufficiency.
 
Important for the development of agrarian companies is the introduction of new techniques and training of personnel. Qatar would use experience from abroad and this offers possibilities for Dutch business.
