Germany: Strawberry prices and quality drop

On the German wholesale markets mostly domestic strawberries were present in week 27. Belgian and Dutch were rarely seen. The demand started relatively good, but fell later in the week. Rain and thunderstorms had a negative impact on the quality of the products. Due to the weaker demand and quality, prices fell. The prices in Cologne were at 1.50 Euro per 500 grams.
