On June 30th the Hass avocado season from Mexico ended. Avocados From Mexico, leader in Hass avocado exports to the United States hopes to finish this campaign by sending more than 781 million tons to the U.S. market, which exceeds the amount exported during the previous year by more than 25%.

The graph on the left shows how Avocados From Mexico has increased its exports to the U.S. market over the last few years. The 2004-05 season stands out for having achieved more than double the previous season. Despite the global economic crisis that has hit in recent years, it has continued to increase due to its high demand in the U.S. market.
"During the first quarter of 2012, Avocados from Mexico sent 206,667,978 pounds of avocados to the United States which meant an increase of more than 50 million pounds compared to avocado exports during the same period in 2011," Eduardo Serena, Director of Marketing APEAM explains.
For the 2012-2013 season APEAM expects a solid harvest with a projected volume of over 825 million tons, representing an increase of 6% from the current season. For the season 2012-2013 the projected volume is 825, 687.261 pounds. The main export market for Avocados From Mexico is the United States, but increasingly has achieved greater market share in Canada and Japan. Avocados From Mexico look forward to positioning its brand in the market and hope to make new international trade relations in markets that it already serves and new international markets.
