It's expected an harvest of 70,000 tons

Spain: Alicante starts with table grape packaging

Farmers in Novelda started packing grapes, this week the varieties Red Globe, Italia and Vitoria, and the end of next week they will start with the Aledo variety.

In this campaign, the fruit will reach the adequate conditions despite the drought, thanks to an increase in irrigation by growers, which also means an increase in costs.

In Alicante, weather conditions are adequate and the harvest is expected to pass the 70,000 tons. There will be 48,500 tons under the Origin Denomination, from which 48% belong to the Aledo variety. The remaining are the Ideal variety.
