Less glasshouse vegetables, more stone fruit exported

During the first four months of 2012, 1% less fresh fruit and vegetables of Dutch origin (excluding onions and products for processing) was exported than in 2011. The export in 2012 amounted to 447 million kgs. against 482 million in 2011. During the month of April the export was 6% less than in 2011. 
 
From a comparison for the period from January to April 2012 with 2011 the following becomes clear:

The export to Germany decreased by 8% from 198 to 183 million kgs. Less glasshouse vegetables and white cabbage went to Germany, but slightly more stone fruit.
 
The export to the United Kingdom decreased by 16% from 66 to 56 million kgs. less cucumber, pepper and tomato, mushrooms and pears were exported to the U.K. but somewhat more aubergine and apple .
 
The export to Russia increased by 57% from 34 to 54 million kgs. More pear and tomato was exported, but the export of apple and cabbage was disappointing.
 
The export to France decreased by 22% from 29 to 23 million kgs. Less white cabbage, cucumber and tomato went to France.
 
The export to Sweden increased by 6% from 25 to 27 million kgs. Sweden imported more leeks and peppers from the Netherlands
 
The export to Poland decreased by 14% from 20 to 17 million kgs. More pear was exported to Poland, but less cucumber, tomato and apple.
 
Less tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, white cabbage and aubergines were exported. Pear, carrot, apple and leeks were exported more than last year
