US: Gatekeeper Systems introduces BasketKeeper

Gatekeeper Systems, a Leading Provider of Intelligent Cart Solutions, announces the debut of its latest retail loss prevention solution. The BasketKeeper hand basket theft prevention solution prevents shoplifters from stealing hand baskets and/or using the shopping baskets to steal unpaid merchandise.

The BasketKeeper solution is designed to work on the widest variety of retail store’s hand baskets and rolling baskets. BasketKeeper’s alarm module utilizing Gatekeeper’s RF Technology immediately draws attention to a hand basket theft event occurring by sounding an audible alarm signaling a theft is in progress.

Would-be thieves startled by the alarming basket in hand, tend to quickly abandon the basket and flee the store, increasing employee safety by reducing the need for confrontation. The alarm module’s advanced integration capabilities also allow stores to integrate Gatekeeper’s BasketKeeper solution to remote visual alarms and store’s video surveillance systems thus maximizing ease of loss prevention solution monitoring.
