"considerably less supply to Europe"

New-Zealand apples at Denimpex

The oveseas season has started at Denimpex with the first arrivals of New-Zealand Royal Gala of the hallmark ECCO.
"Later in the season we will also receive Braeburn, Granny Smith and Fuji apples" Danny Deen of Denimpex says. "Based on information from New-Zealand there will be considerably less apples going to Europe as many apples from New-Zealand go in the direction of India and China and have already been shipped."Also according to him a very good price is being paid in New-Zealand for apples for the processing industry.

Danny expects good sales because the supply from Chile, Argentina, Brazil and South Africa is also less than previous seasons. The quality from New-Zealand will be very good according to him. "This is clear from the first arrivals. Also the local industrial processing, which demands a lot, shows that the quality of the export is very good, because grade 2 and 3 go there."

Denimpex for a number of years already works, to the satisfaction of both, together with ECCO, also because Denimpex import a lot of onions from New-Zealand and because of the volume can make good arrangements with shipowners.
