export sales manager, Xander van der Zande
Why have Van der Arend and Nic.Sosef fused?
"Horticulture is becoming more professional and large scale, nationally as well as internationally. Customers profit from a professional, strong partner, who can offer continuity and innovative solutions. With the right fusion we're playing into that development."How important is export for Arend-Sosef?
"Van der Arend and Nic.Sosef were already strong in export. Tebarint, a subsidiary of Van der Arend, has been active in international horticulture for thirty years. We want to strengthen that international position. Because together we're the largest international horticulture supplier."What role does Horti Fair play in reaching this goal?
"We will be at a number of international fairs again this year, among which Horti Fair. First of all due to the international character of Horti Fair, but also because last year you could feel the there's a new course. I had a lot of good conversations with international visitors at the Nic.Sosef stall last year. You can see that Horti Fair visitors don't just go to the fair for no reason. They're looking for something."What will Arend-Sosef be doing during Horti Fair 2012?
"On the surface of the stand will be the same as the one Nic.Sosef. Van der Arend was part of the AVAG Market. The Arend-Sosef stand will of course have to be newly designed. The design will match our international business."Source: Horti Fair
