CitroGold has many exiting varieties in the pipeline including the M7 Navel, B17 & Or 4 mandarin, Lavalle & Ruby Valencia, Late maturing Star Ruby pommelo and seedless lemons . In total the company currently has 30 varieties in commission and more than 150 new citrus varieties under evaluation.CitroGold are also involved in the development of intellectual property for exotic and sub tropical fruit such as pomegranates, figs, passion fruit, mango, lychee, avocado and macadamia nuts.
The mission of the company is to create a vibrant South African horticultural industry with new industries that target the growing markets of China, India and other Far East countries, while at the same time, ensuring that the local horticultural industries continue to fulfill a growing Northern Hemisphere alternate season demand.
