According to the latest data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan, the country significantly increased its exports of frozen fruits this year.
From January to June last year, Kyrgyzstan exported 962.8 tonnes of frozen fruits worth USD 1.9 million. Over the same period this year, exports reached 3,632.5 tonnes, generating USD 10.3 million in revenue.
Russia remained the main destination, purchasing 2,267.9 tonnes of frozen fruits. Other key markets included Turkey (538.8 tonnes), Uzbekistan (239.2 tonnes), Kazakhstan (187.7 tonnes), and Serbia (176.9 tonnes).
The sharp increase in exports is attributed to improved logistics and expanded processing capacity within the country. In the past year, several new fruit processing facilities and cold storage warehouses have been launched, helping Kyrgyz producers to maintain product quality and extend the export season.
