Fruit Attraction, organized by IFEMA Madrid and Fepex, will be held from September 30 to October 2 at the IFEMA Madrid venue. The fair's director, María José Sánchez, stated at the fair's 17th edition presentation that four months before the event, it already had an occupation of more than 90%. The presentation was also attended by Arancha Priede, general director of Trade Fair Business and Congresses at IFEMA Madrid, Cecilio Peregrín and José María Pozancos, president and director of Fepex, respectively, as well as Elena Curzio, head of Economic-Commercial Affairs and Promotion at the Mexican Embassy in Spain.
The exhibition area allocated to date reaches 70,000 m², 8% more than in the same period last year. The forecasts for this upcoming edition are optimistic: more than 2,500 companies are expected to participate, 75,000 m² of fruit and vegetable offer, and an attendance of more than 120,000 professionals from 150 countries.
Fruit Attraction 2025 marks a significant milestone in its history, consolidating its position as one of the world's fruit and vegetable sector most important fairs.
It also reinforces its leadership with a strategic expansion and a new sectorization that will enhance the exhibitors' and visitors' experience. This year, it will occupy 10 halls (3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14), making the city the global epicenter of fresh produce marketing.
The odd-numbered halls will host the national companies' latest innovations, and proposals from the Innova&Tech area (Hall 5). Companies from Europe will be located in Halls 4, 6, and 8, individual companies operating in the global market in Halls 8 and 10, from the Americas in Hall 12, and from Africa and Asia in Hall 14. The Fresh Food Logistics area will be located in Hall 4. Most of the halls will feature an Auxiliary Industry area, ensuring representation for all of the sector's value chain.
Tomato will be the star product this year. There will be various initiatives around this product, which remains the most demanded vegetable in Spain, and whose production has a significant economic impact in Spain.
In addition, this edition will give specific visibility to organic products, with differentiated actions to highlight the stands that present this type of product at Fruit Attraction.
The Guest Importing Countries initiative, which has Mexico and Malaysia as protagonists, is once again part of the powerful International Buyers Program.
For the second time, Fruit Attraction will present the Best Stand Awards. These awards will recognize exhibition spaces that stand out at the fair for their creativity, design, and commitment to sustainability in four categories: Most Original Stand Award, Best Stand Design Award, Most Sustainable Stand Award, and Public Choice Award.
The fair will also hold its Innovation Hubs Awards, awarded to the best project, product, or service for the sector, taking into account criteria of innovation, sustainability, applied technology, and knowledge. As on previous occasions, all the entries submitted will be displayed in the Innovation Hub area (at the nexus between halls 4 and 6) during the three days of the fair.
The fair will hold a complete program of technical conferences, activities, with a great diversity of content, and a high level of participants and speakers, that will make it the center of knowledge for the sector. Fruit Attraction will host the Grape Attraction, Biofruit Congress, and Fresh Food Logistics The Summit conferences.
The fair, organized by IFEMA Madrid and FEPEX, will be held at IFEMA Madrid's venue from Tuesday, September 30 to Thursday, October 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and until 4:00 p.m. on its closing day.
