During the current week, prices for several apple varieties have shifted compared to the previous week. The average price for Cox's Orange Group apples rose from £1.30 to £1.45 per kilogram, marking a weekly increase of £0.15, or 12%. Braeburn apples also saw a rise in average price, increasing from £1.22 to £1.38 per kilogram—a £0.16 or 13% gain.
In contrast, Other Late Season apples experienced a price decline. Their average price dropped from £1.94 to £1.84 per kilogram, reflecting a decrease of £0.10 or 5%. This downward movement stands in contrast to the general upward trend observed in some of the other apple categories, indicating variability across apple types.
Asparagus recorded the most significant price drop among the listed items. The average price fell from £20.14 to £16.43 per kilogram, a reduction of £3.71 or 18% compared to the previous week. This sharp decrease represents the largest weekly percentage decline among all the commodities listed.
