To support seed renewal and improve potato yields, 25,000 kg of second-generation seed potatoes of the "Picasso" variety have been delivered to farmers in the Alay district.
The Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that these seeds were purchased by the seed-growing cooperative in the Issyk-Kul region and distributed to local farmers.
The "Picasso" variety is developed through Dutch breeding programs. According to local farmers, it shows adaptability to changing weather conditions.
