According to EastFruit analysts, the Ukrainian table beet market is experiencing price increases this week. Local producers indicate a decline in market-quality beet stocks, while demand from wholesale and retail sectors rises.

Currently, producers can sell table beets at 14-18 UAH/kg ($0.33-0.43/kg), reflecting a 24% increase compared to the previous week. This price surge is attributed to reduced supply. Sales from unorganized storages are nearly complete, and substandard product supply has decreased, enabling price hikes for quality vegetables.
It is noteworthy that beet prices in Ukraine are 35% higher than last year. However, market participants suggest the upward trend may be temporary. They believe price hikes could prompt farmers to release storage beets, increasing supply and potentially reducing prices.
