Uzbekistan doubles grape exports to 205,500 tons in 2024, led by Russian demand

Between January and November 2024, Uzbekistan witnessed a substantial increase in grape exports, totaling 205,500 tons, marking a more than double growth from the corresponding timeframe in 2023. This was reported by the State Statistics Agency. The revenue generated from grape exports during this period surpassed $174.7 million.

The Russian market was the primary recipient, importing 164,200 tons of the total exports. Following Russia, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan were significant importers, with volumes of 19,400 tons and 14,500 tons, respectively. Belarus and Ukraine also featured among the top five importing countries, with 6,600 tons and 334 tons, respectively. Despite a 30% decline in the overall exports of fruits and vegetables, which stood at $1.4 billion as of early December last year, the grape export segment exhibited robust performance.
