Jan Willem Schrijver, Coldcha:

"Insights into logistics chains via live vessel tracking"

With the start of the new (seed) potato and top fruit seasons, exports from the Netherlands to numerous destinations have resumed in earnest. The new Coldcha 2.0 platform provides insight into the logistics chain via things like live vessel tracking.

"What makes our platform unique is its API links to most shipping lines and air freight carriers. That allows for real-time shipment tracking. We work with the largest local and global manufacturers that market real-time tracking technology," Jan-Willem Schrijver says.

"But you can just as easily link a standard logger to your trip. Then, you still have live vessel tracking or airline information and use of the platform's other functionalities. You can invite your partners, such as external carriers or end customers, to track shipments via the platform. You can allow them real-time access to all information about a shipment. Whether it's road, sea, rail or air freight."

"You can also share relevant documents like Bill of Lading, AWB, export certificate, and phytosanitary or veterinary certificates with all those involved in the chain via a document upload function. The platform is multilingual, and you can set your time zone and, of course, C or F temperature settings," Jan-Willem concludes.
