Food imports to Kyrgyzstan increased by 3% over the week

Last week, from June 16 to June 22, 2023, the import of quarantine products to Kyrgyzstan amounted to 17,719 tons, which is 3% higher than the week earlier. This information was published by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Of particular interest is the information about the supply of vegetables and fruits to various regions of the country.

The Osh region received 2,303.7 tons of these goods from Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan. In addition, 1,764 tons of watermelons and 343.6 tons of melons were imported from Uzbekistan.

The Naryn region also received a significant supply of quarantine products. China sent 383.4 tons of nuts to this region.

In the Batken region, 1,035 tons of fruits were imported from Uzbekistan, as well as 472 tons of melons and watermelons.

A batch of 284 tons of carrots from Uzbekistan was delivered to the Jalal-Abad region.
