Large organic share in Switzerland:

One quarter for vegetables and potatoes, one fifth for fruits

7,900 farms produced goods in line with the organic standards in Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 2022. Sales in the organic food market amounted to CHF 3.873 billion. The market share for vegetables and potatoes is just under 25 percent, while for fruits the organic share is 20 percent.

A total of CHF 350 million is generated annually from the sale of organic vegetables and potatoes. In the case of fruits, total sales in the organic sector are CHF 286.5 million.
