More than 37 years ago, Helmut and Sylvia Wohlrab founded family business "Pilze Wohlrab". They built it up with a lot of dedication and personal commitment, managing the company it for more than three decades as a family with daughter Katharina. Now the company and its associated label will be handed over to a new owner, BioFungi, the company said in a statement.

Daniel from BioFungi is pleased to take over the business of Pilze Wohlrab at the turn of the year. Daniel and the Wohlrab family have had a trusting business relationship for many years. Mushroom specialist BioFungi can look back on over 15 years of experience in the mushroom industry and, in addition to similar values, already has a similar range of products to Pilze Wohlrab," the management of Pilze Wohlrab stated.
Specialist in edible mushrooms
The family business was founded in 1985 and has been operating under the name Pilze Wohlrab & Co. Starting with the sales of fresh edible mushrooms, the range was expanded to include dried mushrooms, medicinal mushrooms and delicatessen products. In addition to all this, Pilze Wohlrab is a regular exhibitor at German organic trade fairs, such as BioFach in Nuremberg.
