Since the beginning of December 2021, the Eplí® apple is back on the market. This is the third marketing season for this apple from the Lagnasco Group, having been successfully promoted and sold throughout Germany in cooperation with the La Frutta Munich trading agency.
"When we were commissioned three years ago to sell this deliciously red, juicy and crunchy apple in German wholesale markets, we wanted to introduce not just a brand but also a novel concept that would charm our marketers and the consumer," says Christian Esposito, La Frutta's buyer and seller. "So far, we have already succeeded well and we are steadily increasing the sales volume and we see a growing demand."

Sustainable storage
"The concept aims to win over not only the environmentally conscious and responsible retailer, but above all the consumer, insofar as our "Eplí®" is offered with fully compostable packaging and labels. In addition, care was taken at the development stage to guarantee natural growth. The apple Eplí® is naturally resistant to external agents, therefore more digestible; this allows sustainable storage," Esposito continues.
The La Frutta commercial agency has been offering fruit and vegetables from all over the world and distributing them throughout Europe since 1978. The company has been based at the Munich wholesale market since its foundation.
