More cultivation areas created for year-round tomato cultivation

Citronex expands tomato cultivation

In Ryczywol in eastern Poland, in the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, the Citronex Group is in the process of creating additional cultivation areas for the year-round cultivation of greenhouse tomatoes. For this purpose, 23 hectares were equipped with appropriate lighting, the Sächsische Zeitung reported. The plans of the Polskie Pomidory (Polish Tomato) company, which belongs to the group, are to start growing raspberry tomatoes there in September this year.

Tomato cultivation has already been going on since 2014, on 10 hectares under glass, in a complex in Bogatynia (Reichenau). At the Siechnice site near Wroclaw, raspberry tomatoes are grown on 45 hectares, including 39 hectares under glass all year round.
