Junior Grower – Rose & Flower Crops

We are seeking a Junior Grower, ideally with rose-growing experience, to join our expanding production team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on growing position supporting the Head Grower with daily crop care, environmental control, and greenhouse operations. You’ll be involved in all aspects of plant health, irrigation, climate management, crop husbandry, and general greenhouse maintenance.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career in commercial horticulture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily crop inspections across roses, lilies, orchids, and houseplants
- Identify pests, diseases, nutritional issues, and general plant health concerns
- Support pruning, disbudding, training, harvesting, and other crop tasks
- Assist with irrigation, fertigation, and climate adjustments (Priva experience advantageous)
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, biosecurity, and greenhouse housekeeping
- Report structural or equipment issues promptly
- Contribute to workflow improvements and production efficiency
- Communicate effectively across the wider team
What We’re Looking For
- Practical experience with flower crops, ideally roses
- A genuine interest in horticulture and developing your growing skills
- A positive, proactive attitude with strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify crop issues early and communicate clearly
- Physically fit, reliable, and comfortable working in warm/cool greenhouse environments
- Willingness to learn new systems and contribute to continuous improvement
- Ability to use (or learn) greenhouse climate systems such as Priva Connext
