In January to October 2025, Ukraine increased imports of tomatoes to 81.8 thousand tons and cucumbers to 109.6 thousand tons, exceeding volumes recorded during the same period last year. Turkey remained the primary supplier for both crops, according to data cited by EastFruit and UNN.
Statistics from the State Customs Service show that tomato imports rose 18.2 per cent in value to US$16.92 million, while cucumber imports increased 30 per cent to US$23.39 million. Tomatoes were mainly imported from Turkey at 64.3 per cent of the total supply, followed by Poland at 11.7 per cent and the Netherlands at 11.18 per cent. Cucumber imports were sourced from Turkey at 88.2 per cent, Spain at 3.7 per cent, and Finland at 2 per cent.
A year earlier, the main suppliers of tomatoes were Turkey at 73.6 per cent, Poland at 12.3 per cent, and Morocco at 5.9 per cent. Cucumber suppliers were Turkey at 85.2 per cent, Poland at 4 per cent, and the Netherlands at 3.1 per cent.

In July 2025, Ukraine imposed anti-dumping duties on fresh cucumber and tomato imports from Turkey at 20.1 per cent and 26.9 per cent, respectively, for five years. The measure was implemented to protect domestic greenhouse producers from low-priced imports.
In November, cucumber prices in Ukraine declined by an average of 17 per cent per week as sellers lowered prices in response to reduced demand and increased supply of imported greenhouse vegetables.
