Carrefour opens a pop-up store in Belgium, called The Box

The Box by Carrefour is the new ephemeral concept inaugurated on November 28th in Brussels, close to the Christmas market and the Ferris wheel. The brand's stated aim is to attract a younger clientele.

With a surface area of 45 m², this mini-format store was built in just 4 days using containers on two levels. Nearly 400 items are on offer, including fresh products such as salads and soups, as well as sandwiches, ready meals, and a range of savory foods and trendy drinks such as kombucha and kefir. The Box also offers a takeaway option, as well as an 18 m² dining room on the 1st floor.

If the concept is a success, the group plans to roll it out in 5 other towns next year.
