Huelva expects to produce 557,000 tons of citrus in the 2025-2026 season

Andalusia continues to lead citrus production, with an estimated yield of over 2 million tons for the 2025-2026 season. This represents nearly 40% of Spain's total citrus output and about half of the country's orange production.

Huelva plays a key role in this leadership: it is the second-largest citrus producer in Andalusia and is expected to produce 557,000 tons this season. It is also a major national producer of mandarins, accounting for most of Andalusia's mandarin output.

During her speech, the Deputy Regional Minister emphasized that tools such as citrus fruit gauging provide important information for planning each season and for strengthening growers' bargaining power in the agri-food chain.
