Jizzakh region leads Uzbekistan in melon and watermelon production

Uzbekistan's farms produced 2.1 million tonnes of melons and watermelons from January to September 2025, up 15.4% compared to the same period in 2024, according to the State Committee on Statistics.

Jizzakh region led production with 280,200 tonnes, followed closely by Syrdarya (276,500 t), Kashkadarya (265,200 t), and Surkhandarya (262,000 t). The lowest outputs were recorded in the Tashkent region (60,300 t) and the Navoi region (73,300 t).

Other regional figures included: Karakalpakstan, 157,500 t, Andijan, 141,400 t, Bukhara, 150,900 t, Namangan, 99,500 t, Samarkand, 112,900 t, Fergana, 126,600 t, and Khorezm, 127,500 t.
