Holiday ads show higher lemon and potato prices

Retailers featured holiday-season assortments in weekly ads, with promotions across baking items, household goods, and a broad range of fresh produce. Poinsettias entered circulars in both late-autumn and traditional red-and-white Christmas varieties. Hard squashes, sweet potatoes, green beans, and mushrooms were commonly grouped with turkeys in Thanksgiving-focused sections.
