In Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh's largest banana-producing district, a farmer has vowed to remain half-naked until the government ensures fair prices for bananas. Cultivator Kishore Vasankar, 44, says prices have collapsed to just ₹2–3 per kilogram, leaving growers in debt and despair. The protest highlights the severe crisis facing local farmers whose livelihoods depend on banana cultivation. Vasankar and others are demanding government intervention and minimum price support to prevent further losses in the region bordering Maharashtra.
