The inaugural Asia Fruit Logistica Peru Meet Up, scheduled to take place on 28–29 October 2025 at the Swissotel in Lima, has been postponed due to ongoing political developments and safety concerns in the Peruvian capital.
According to the organisers, Global Produce Events (Hong Kong), the current situation in Lima has created uncertainty around ensuring the safety of participants and the feasibility of hosting the event as planned. New dates for the meeting will be announced once conditions allow for a physical gathering.

David Axiotis, managing director of Global Produce Events, said, "With only a week away, the current situation in Lima has become too unpredictable for us to hold the Peru Meet Up as originally planned. Safety always being our highest priority, it is with a heavy heart that we have to take this decision now while allowing our registered attendees coming from more than 20 countries to reliably adjust their travel itineraries."
He added that the organisation remains committed to the Peruvian market and will continue monitoring developments to reschedule the event. "The tremendous enthusiasm and support we have so far received for the Peru Meet Up underlines our ongoing commitment and the potential we see for Peru as a hub to exploring local business opportunities across the whole region," Axiotis said.
Registered attendees will be contacted directly by the event team with updated information.
The Asia Fruit Logistica Meet Ups are a series of regional networking events for the fresh produce sector. In 2025, similar gatherings will take place in Chile, India, Vietnam, Thailand, and China, focusing on market discussions and industry networking.
