Packaging is a crucial element of fresh produce as it protects products against damage, improves shelf-life, and enhances consumer appeal. "They are extremely sensitive and processors can't afford to lose valuable product because of damage done during the processing and packing stages," says Joost Somford from JASA Packaging Solutions.
