Kyrgyz Ministry of Agriculture urges focus on cultivating cruciferous vegetables and legumes

The Ministry of Agriculture in Kyrgyzstan has recommended that farmers focus on cultivating cauliflower, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, and green beans for export, as there is increasing demand for these vegetables in other countries.

According to the ministry's press service, cultivation of these vegetables in the regions will bring economic benefits.

The Naryn region, for instance, was identified as particularly suitable for Brussels sprout cultivation. These vegetables typically take five to six months to mature. Before planting green beans, farmers are advised to carefully select the appropriate location and timing, treat the seeds, and prepare the beds.

Moreover, the Ministry of Agriculture underscored the global trend of rising per capita vegetable consumption in recent years.
