Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu of South Africa and Zimbabwe's Minister of Lands, Agriculture, Fisheries, and Rural Development, Dr. Anxious Jongwe Masuka, have concluded an agreement aimed at addressing the water scarcity in Musina, Limpopo.
This agreement, emerging from prolonged diplomatic and technical discussions, marks a big step in collaborative efforts to mitigate water challenges. It leverages the surplus capacity of Zimbabwe's Beitbridge Water Treatment Works to provide a sustainable water solution for Musina.
Minister Mchunu highlighted, "The transfer of water from Beitbridge will alleviate water supply challenges in Musina." Minister Masuka views the agreement as a manifestation of Zimbabwe's commitment to regional cooperation and prosperity, emphasizing the importance of reliable partnership in promoting the welfare of both nations.
