ELO eG announces new partnership with Andreas Renner from Mutterstadt

Expansion of product diversity from conventional and organic cultivation

Producer Wholesale Market Langförden-Oldenburg eG (ELO) is expanding its product range through new partnerships. The producer companies of Andreas Renner from Mutterstadt in Rhineland-Palatinate will become partners of the Lower Saxony producer cooperative for the 2024 season. Andreas Renner runs a successful family business, in which fruit and vegetables are grown in conventional and organic qualities.

Jens Wiele, Chairman of the Board of ELO eG, and Andreas Renner are pleased about the partnership, which offers the opportunity to start the season earlier and to extend it, as well as to exploit logistical synergies. In addition, it is possible to further expand the reliability of supplying the trading partners and thus ensure that the influence of regional weather events on the commodity business of both partners is further reduced.

Last but not least, the additional items complement the ELO portfolio and the know-how from the organic sector. Jens Wiele: "For us, ecological and conventional production complement each other excellently. Responsible use of resources is always important to our producers."

Strengthening the producer network in Northern Germany
In addition to the partnership with Renner, two more suppliers strengthen the portfolio, especially with red and white cabbage from Germany: The cooperation with the vegetable growing company Christian Ufen from Kronprinzenkoog in Schleswig-Holstein already started at the end of last year and is being gradually expanded. In addition, ELO is intensifying its cooperation with Hanke Hotes from Hagen im Bremischen, who has been a reliable partner of ELO for years.

Jens Wiele: "We appreciate the cooperation very much and are pleased to be able to further expand the range of agricultural products from Germany with these measures." The new and strengthened partnerships are a welcome expansion for the cooperative, whose vision and strategy is to grow sustainably and in the long term with fruit and vegetables from German production.
