The largest potato yield exceeding 2 million tons in the Zhytomyr region

As of early November, Ukraine has harvested almost 29 million tons of vegetables

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the total potato harvest reached 21.2 million tons, and other vegetables, including cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, etc., amounted to 7.1 million tons.

Potato cultivation covered 1,183 thousand hectares, with Zhytomyr leading at over 2 million tons, followed by Khmelnytskyi at 1,980 thousand tons. The remaining vegetables were harvested on 367.6 thousand hectares, producing 1.4 million tons of tomatoes, 1.3 million tons of cabbage, 877 thousand tons of onions, 810 thousand tons of carrots, 766 thousand tons of beets, 681 thousand tons of cucumbers, and 1.3 million tons of other vegetables.

The Dnipropetrovsk region leads in overall vegetable harvest, excluding potatoes, with 780 thousand tons. Notably, farmers in the Mykolaiv region yielded the highest amount of tomatoes at 275 thousand tons, the Lviv region had the most vibrant cabbage at 234 thousand tons, and the Kyiv region excelled in cucumber production at 72.8 thousand tons.

Pumpkin crops, covering 29.8 thousand hectares, yielded 283 thousand tons, including 214 thousand tons of watermelons and 69 thousand tons of melons. Dnipropetrovsk region also led in pumpkin cultivation, producing 64 thousand tons of pumpkins and melons.
