In order to improve the process of handling reefer containers, Cornelder de Moçambique (CdM), in partnership with Identec Solutions, a global player in reefer management solutions, will be implementing a new, modern reefer management system called Reefer Runner at the Port of Beira Container Terminal, starting in October.
To this end, the two institutions will install 300 freezer plugs at the Beira Port Container Terminal, one of the most modern terminals in southern Africa. With the Reefer Runner system, the refrigerators can be monitored remotely. By enabling automated 24/7 monitoring of all individual refrigerated containers, Reefer Runner protects all refrigerated cargo, transmits vital data and triggers alarms when necessary.
